Mia's new V2 Revel Rascal

Words by Mia:

Revel have done it again…. Their flagship bike is now a fully redesigned V2! We had the opportunity to ride the V2 Rascal last year at a bike park (yeah, you read that right) and in Sedona-which as you’ve probably gathered, is our favourite place to ride bikes.

Having owned the V1 Rascal for the last 3 years, I can say that this version is very different. The main noticeable differences are in the frame and pivot bearings-both stiffer. The new carbon layup provides significantly better lateral stiffness, and the all new pivot hardware package has bigger bearings and axles for a stiffer, stronger frame with more durability and easier maintenance.
The Rascal is still an efficient climber, that handles precision riding quite well. We’ll be doing a long term review of this bike over the next 6 months. In the meantime, check out our other reviews here!

The  V1 I owned was a small frame and for the V2 I decided to go with the medium frame because it felt more stable to me (I’m 5’4.5″). The chainstay is a tad longer on this version, and I honestly enjoy a longer wheelbase bike. At this size, the bike is still very playful and nimble. I liked the support on the techy Sedona terrain.

The bike has two new colours: Pino Gnar and Pony Boy. Both stunning (see pics below)
