Braydon didn’t create Hard MTB for a select few. He created it with everyone in mind.

A format where every rider has a place.
A course where women aren’t added in later, but considered from the start.

In the pod he said something that stuck with me:
I believe, fully, that women can ride anything the men can. It’s about creating the right technical lines and letting them show it.

This is the future he’s designing.
A space where progression is shared, supported, and seen.

The first Hard MTB event dropped on October 25th — and today on the podcast, we’re bringing you the deeper story behind it.
Mia sat down with Braydon Bringhurst to talk about the vision for the Hard MTB League, how he’s building a new competition format designed to inspire riders at every level, and why inclusivity is at the center of every course he and his team design.

We also dive into what they learned from the pilot event, the athlete feedback that shaped version one, the challenges of building something completely new, and how community support is driving the league forward. Braydon shares where Hard MTB is headed next — including a focus on athlete development, mental performance, and continuing to elevate women in the sport.

Today’s pod episode is a special one.
We sat down with photographer Dominique Powers, (@dominiquepowers)whose work has shaped how the world sees women in cycling, mountain biking, gravel, and outdoor sport.

This year she again documented the intensity of Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, then headed straight into the desert to capture the women at Red Bull Rampage….two completely different worlds, both told through her signature lens.

We talk about what it means to build a career as a woman in media, the pressure of shooting in unpredictable environments, the contrast between freeride chaos and road-race precision, and the projects she’s excited about next.

And Candice is co-hosting this one with me. 🫶

Women Led Wednesday means we get to celebrate visionaries like Nastasha of @wearecuriouscreatures 🤍

A designer. A rider. A creator who saw a gap in the industry and chose to fill it with more options for women. Not just highly technical gear, but clothing that feels like real life and real style while still performing when it matters most.

This conversation dives into how Curious Creatures was born, the story behind the iconic logo, and why more choices for women will always be a good thing.
