Heartbreak in the Bike World: Revel Bikes Closes Its Doors
Words by Mia de Paula
It’s never easy to write a goodbye like this—especially to a brand that changed the way so many of us ride.
Today, Revel Bikes announced it’s officially shutting down. For those of us who’ve followed their journey from the beginning, this one stings. I still remember the first time I saw a Revel on the trail—it stopped me in my tracks. The lines, the colors, the way it moved. It wasn’t just a bike—it was a feeling. A bold, beautiful blend of innovation and intention.
I fell in love with Revel years ago, not just for their bikes (which were damn near perfect), but for what they stood for. A rider-owned, fiercely independent company that refused to compromise on quality or vision. They brought something fresh to the scene—something real. Their bikes had soul. Their team had heart.
The mountain bike world can be tough. And while the industry has seen its fair share of shifts lately, it’s never easy to lose a company like this. Revel took risks. They made waves. And most importantly, they made us fall in love with riding all over again.
To the entire Revel team: thank you. For building bikes that made us feel like superheroes. For pouring yourselves into this community. For reminding us that it’s not just about the gear—it’s about the people behind it. For being the first supporter of the Network!
Wishing you strength, peace, and big mountain views as you ride into your next chapter. You’ll be missed, but your legacy will roll on—on dusty trails, in muddy garages, and in the hearts of every rider who ever threw a leg over a Revel.
Ride on.
